The Triquetra knot is a Trinity knot intersected by a circle. While the Trinity symbol is used interchangeably as a Christian or Pagan symbol, the Triquetra knot has been embraced by the Wiccan religion as not only a sign of the triple aspects of the Goddess, (Maiden, Mother and Crone) but also representative of female power and fertility as a whole. The Triquetra evokes the ancient Celtic triplicates of Nature (Earth, Air and Water) and of Man (Mind, Body, and Soul).
